Coming Home to Myself

I'm Ronda — a licensed therapist turned coach, founder of Healing Feathers, and host of Authentically You. For a long time, I was "the strong one" before I understood what that was actually costing me.

Much of my life has been shaped by loss — my uncle dying on the day of my birth, losing my dad, and the years of grieving and figuring out who I am outside of that pain. Mourning taught me what it really means to lose the person you thought you were, and have to find your way back to who you actually are. That experience is a big part of why I do this work — I want to be the voice for people when theirs feels silent.

As a therapist, I spent years working with people who look like they have it all together — the high achievers, the ones everyone leans on, the ones who show up no matter what. What I've learned, both as a clinician and in my own life, is that being strong for long enough starts to feel lonely. You forget how to ask for help. You forget what you actually want. You forget how to just be, without performing.

That's the work I do now — helping high-functioning people move beyond survival and come home to themselves. Through coaching, speaking, and conversations on the podcast, I get to do what I love most: normalize mental health, break the silence around what strength really costs, and help people reconnect with who they were before they learned to push through.

Coming to terms with who I thought I had to be, versus who I actually am, has become one of the most meaningful parts of my own journey. Now it's the work I get to do with others.

If any of this feels familiar, I'd love to talk.
